These terms govern your use of GiftJar, a mobile app for managing personal wish lists and coordinating gifting among friends and family. GiftJar is operated by Vladislav Gorceac. By creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old to create a GiftJar account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
GiftJar lets you keep a personal wish list, share it with the friends you choose, and coordinate who's giving what for birthdays and other occasions — including group contributions toward a single gift.
GiftJar does not process payments. Amounts you see for a reservation or a group contribution are only a record of what someone intends to give — GiftJar does not move money, hold funds in escrow, or act as a payment processor in any way. Arranging and completing the actual payment between contributors is entirely outside the app and entirely your own responsibility. We're not a party to, and have no liability for, any money that changes hands between you and your friends.
You keep ownership of what you post — wish item titles, photos, descriptions, and links. By posting it, you give us permission to store and display it to the friends you've chosen to share it with, for as long as your account exists. Don't post anything that isn't yours to post, or that infringes someone else's rights.
Use GiftJar the way it's meant to be used. Don't:
We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these rules.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive behaviour towards other users. Objectionable content includes anything sexually explicit, violent, hateful, harassing, defamatory, deceptive, or otherwise unlawful — in a wish title, a description, a photo, a display name, a handle, or a profile picture.
If you come across content or behaviour like that, report it: tap Report on the wish or on the person's profile, and pick a reason. You can also block the person from the same screen or from their profile, which immediately removes them from your view. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours; content that breaks these rules is removed and the accounts behind it are suspended or deleted. You can also write to giftjarappsupport@gmail.com.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. This removes your profile and personal data, with one exception: if you're a contributor to an active group gift, your contribution amount stays part of that gift's total so it stays accurate for the others, but your name and photo stop being shown — see the Privacy Policy for details.
GiftJar is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, including anything related to a gift or contribution arranged through it.
We may update GiftJar's features or these terms over time. If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use GiftJar after a change means you accept the update.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
